Covid-19 Help Information

18-03-2020 Corona Virus Pandemic

To Stourport Baptist Church family and friends

Following the measures introduced by the UK Government this week to protect us all and try to slow down the spread of Covid-19, as well as the advice the Baptist Union of Great Britain, all services at Stourport Baptist Church will be paused until further notice.

This means that every church activity:-

Sunday morning and evening services, Prayer Meetings, House Groups, Pub Church, Messy Church, Monday Club, Accept, Rhyme & Rhythm, Baby Banquets, Coffee Shop, Rhyme & Rhythm for Non-Walkers and Seniors Lunch Club are all now pausing until we are advised that we can begin again.

This is, of course, a very sad day and we will miss seeing you on Sunday’s or at any other time that we meet together.

We will continue to post updates on social media and advise you of changing circumstances as and when they arise.

We are currently working at ways to be able to deliver some content online and will keep you posted about this too.

We do not want to lose contact with any of you and as such we want to offer any assistance that we can do, whether this be for shopping or other matters, so do please do let us know if there is anything we can help you with. This can be done via DM on Facebook, or by emailing pastor.paul@sosbc.org.uk or secretary@sosbc.org.uk or by telephone on 01299489319 or 01299827307.

Finally, it seems so appropriate that at Messy Church last Sunday we learnt about how Jesus calmed the storm and brought peace, we also discussed how He can calm the storms in our lives and bring us peace too. Jesus can bring peace to each and every one of us even during the storm of Coronavirus, if we will only ask Him.

Stay strong in the faith, be kind to yourselves and one another, look for opportunities to shine the light of Jesus in the community that God has placed you in and above all, spend time with Jesus and know His love and His peace.

God bless you all.

Pastor Paul
